Welcome to Active Self Defense! You have just taken the first step to empowerment by developing your self defensive skills. Beginning with a heightened awareness and moving to physical protection, this course is designed for all skill levels. The evening news tells us, on a daily basis, how violence today permeates our society and attacks on individuals occur regularly at home, work, and even at school. What were once safe havens are now vulnerable to crime that previously only happened in high risk areas. These threats have prompted us to combine our skills and knowledge to design a self-defense program for women. To accomplish our goals we have developed an interactive class combining common sense with sensitivity and proximity drills, and empower participants to be more aware of themselves and their surroundings.
Coming from a variety of experiences and backgrounds, women of all ages can benefit from our program. From those who wish to prevent becoming a victim, to those who may have already survived an attack, Active Self Defense is specifically designed with all needs in mind. Our goal is to build up, not break down!
